It has been shown that nutrition education alone has no impact on children's eating habits. However, nutrition education coupled with hands-on garden lessons has been shown to have a tremendous impact on children's willingness to try new fruits and vegetables and to eat more fruits and vegetables.
In order to provide these lessons to ALL children at our sites, we strive to not charge a fee to the families. This ensures that any child, especially those that could not otherwise afford these services, has access.
